Where?
- I love to use natural light for my photographs, so I shoot outside whenever weather permits. I have several locations that I use frequently, but I'm always willing to come to a location of your choice.
When?
- A typical session lasts about one to two hours, longer for newborns.
For newborn sessions
- A covered diaper or nothing at all works best. It's also great to bring a few baby blankets for swaddling.
For infant sessions
- Until your baby can sit well alone, avoid collars or heavy smocking around the neck. As beautiful as those outfits may be, they don't photograph well on a baby that young. A onesie in a pretty color or simple pattern is the best choice for an outfit that isn't distracting. Of course, no clothes at all is adorable, too!
For older baby and kid sessions
- Your kids will be more relaxed and happy if they are comfortable, so clothes that are cute and casual work great. I love jeans and earthy tones for casual shots. For dressier shots, I still suggest that the clothing be simple around the neckline. You are always welcome to bring several outfits.
For couple and family sessions
- Coordinating colors look the best. Also, think about where you might want to hang a large print. It might be a good idea to coordinate your clothes to the room where you want to hang the picture!
During your session
- I love to capture kids being kids, couples giving loving glances, families having fun. It's best if you just act natural, have fun, and pretend like I'm not even there. I will pose you or move you or ask you to look and smile if I need something from you. You are there to just relax and enjoy the moment!
After your session
- You will receive an email with a private, password protected link to your images from your session within 2 weeks. These images are not high resolution and will be watermarked as they are for previewing only. From there you can decide on a print or digital image package you would like to order. Payment for digital images or prints is due at the time of the order.
